In summer (May-September), wear lightweight moisture-wicking clothing and bring a rain poncho. In winter (December-February), mornings can be in the 40s-50s°F so dress in layers. For water parks, swimwear with a cover-up is essential year-round.
LEGOLAND Florida and Peppa Pig Theme Park are in Winter Haven near Lakeland, about 45 miles southwest of Orlando. Temperatures are typically 1-3°F warmer and storm timing may differ by 15-30 minutes.
SeaWorld Orlando remains open during rain, but outdoor shows and rides may pause during lightning. Indoor attractions stay open. Aquatica and Discovery Cove close water activities during lightning but may reopen once it passes.
